This property is ideal for guests who are hoping to escape the pace of daily life, and relax in peaceful surroundings. Although situated in a sleepy hamlet, the property is within a short drive of the town of Barnstaple, where there is a good range of shops and restaurants, a theatre, leisure centre, and a swimming pool. Nowhere is particularly far from the beach in Devon, and this property is no different, and there is a choice of lovely beaches within easy reach, including the pretty beach in the village of Instow, the huge sandy beach in Westward Ho! and the small beach in the privately owned heritage village of Clovelly.

This is one of two barn conversion properties which sit across from one another on a quiet courtyard. The ground floor of the property is an open-plan space, with the stairs in the middle, separating the lounge area from the kitchen/diner to the rear. The spacious lounge area is a welcoming and relaxing space with its woodburner, two comfortable sofas and Smart TV. The kitchen/diner has been decorated in a country style with a dining table and exposed wooden beams. Guests will easily find everything they need here, including an oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a convenient cloakroom with WC on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms. The first of these is a generously sized super king , with plenty of storage space. The second bedroom is a cosy king size, also a zip and link which can be made up as 2ft 6in twin beds on request. The bathroom, also located on the first floor, benefits from a shower and WC.

Outside there is a decked patio, with garden furniture and a BBQ, the private hot tub is also here, providing a wonderfully relaxing experience for guests.

The cottage was lovely and the Jacuzzi was great. I think the only down side is it's on winding, single track lanes, not for the nervous driver. It also means it seems a lot further from places. It was very quiet and overall enjoyed our week.

Lovely clean everything need in kitchen. WiFi bit spotty, wasnt brave enough to walk dog with loose dogs near cottage some farm dogs scared her, so went out everyday as weather was nice. Hot tub lovely, if didnt have little one with us may have managed the long hike to pub but wouldnt have risk narrow roads with her and dog, other than that was greRead moreat couldnt fault place, but lot of driving however visited some lovely places. owners answered any q I had when see them & very friendly Hide

Beautiful cottage in a rural location. Furnished to a very high standard and equipped with everything you can possibly need. Would recommend.

This is the 2nd Christmas that we have stayed as we have family around the area and it was as wonderful this time as last. The house is always beautifully decorated and maintained. The log burner and hot tub are some of our favourite things to enjoy when we are there. We look forward to hopefully staying again in the future.

Lovely little, converted ancient barn, beautifully done to a high standard. Hot tub and little outdoor seating area. Need a car, almost in the middle of nowhere, very peaceful. This is a little home from home, it doesn't feel like a holiday let at all with very nice, comfortable seating and a well-equipped kitchen. Lovely bathroom upstairs and the Read moredownstairs loo is very handy. We'd love to go again. Hide

Absolutely loved our stay, cottage is beautiful and so clean and welcoming. The log fire is lovely to put on and watch at night after a day at the beach or after being in the hot tub. In the morning its so peaceful to enjoy a coffee on the decking. The cottage is very well equipped and is a perfect home from home. Nikki and Emma were so lovely and Read morehelpful.
