10 best Devon locations to photograph

We all do it – we see a beautiful piece of countryside or coast and think: “I've got to take a photo of this.” Whether we're uploading to our Instagram accounts, saving it to Facebook or simply keeping it to show friends and family exactly where we spent our time, we're all guilty of a snap or two! And when it comes to beautiful areas, there aren't many more picturesque than Devon.

Get back to nature on Dartmoor

A National Park, Dartmoor features mile-upon-mile of rugged terrain, open spaces and wild flora and fauna, and it’s these unique surroundings that have inspired so many and ensure its visitors are willing to return year after year. With so much natural beauty to encounter, many choose to explore the area by foot, bike or even on horseback, with a huge number of trails and routes at your disposal.

A holiday for everyone

Whether you’re after an active getaway or a relaxing one, a Crediton holiday is perfect for everyone. There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the area, including a swimming pool, fishing and horse riding, while nearby Downes Crediton Golf Club is perfect for all golfing abilities.

Visit seaside towns such as Exmouth and Dawlish for quality days out by the beach, or travel a little further south to enjoy the cultured cosmopolitan feel of the English Riviera. You’ll also be close to both Dartmoor and Exmoor, and half an hour’s drive from Haldon Forest, which has some of the best off-road cycling and walking routes.

The town is well connected, with trains running regularly on the scenic Tarka Line between Barnstaple and Exeter - perfect for getting out and exploring the region.
