Visit seaside towns such as Exmouth and Dawlish for quality days out by the beach, or travel a little further south to enjoy the cultured cosmopolitan feel of the English Riviera. You’ll also be close to both Dartmoor and Exmoor, and half an hour’s drive from Haldon Forest, which has some of the best off-road cycling and walking routes.

The town is well connected, with trains running regularly on the scenic Tarka Line between Barnstaple and Exeter - perfect for getting out and exploring the region.
