A waterfront delight

The riverside village of Instow is mainly known for its lovely sandy beach. Perfect for families with little ones, here you can spend hours paddling, sunbathing and building sandcastles when the sun shines as well as flying kites and taking long brisk walks on cool windy days.

When the sun sets, you will find a variety of charming waterside eateries tempting you in to sample their wares. A good selection of seafood can be found in Instow and there is also a great cafe and deli selling locally-produced food and drink.

The resort is well known for its tidal mud flats along the South West Coast Path; here you can discover interesting local wildlife along the Tarka Trail, also great for brisk walks and bike rides. Home to an annual summer regatta, Instow makes the perfect all-year-round holiday destination.
