Throughout the year, the calendar in Devon is packed with a variety of unique events, and these are a few of the food-themed extravaganzas that we most recommend.

A delightful local village

With its fantastic location right on the stunning South West Coast Path, Mortehoe is one of the best destinations in North Devon for keen walkers. The route that runs past the village offers some incredible views out to sea, with both Wales and Lundy Island visible in the distance. Rocky cliffs and rugged coves provide plenty to see and add to the dramatic landscape.

Just a mile down the road you will find Woolacombe. Arguably one of the most popular holiday destinations in the country, the three-mile stretch of golden sand has won multiple awards and has regularly been ranked among the top 10 beaches in Europe. Being so close to Woolacombe means the village of Mortehoe is the ideal and slightly quieter base for couples and families alike, although the steep hill between the two locations may encourage you to drive rather than walk!

Throughout Mortehoe and across the surrounding area you’ll find some wonderful places to stay, whatever you’re looking for from your accommodation.
