With so much to see and do near this beautiful family retreat on the north coast of Devon, you’ll be grateful for a comfortable home to crash out in after a day of exploring. If you’re a family or group of friends who love the beach, Westward Ho!, Widemouth and Bude are all just a short drive away and the pretty cliff side village of Clovelly, with its steep cobbled streets and traditional harbour, is also just three miles north of the property. Appledore, a seaside village which has a wide range of galleries, cafes and shops to explore is close by and is well worth a day trip if you fancy some time away from the beach. For children, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep are both on your doorstep and offer excellent facilities whatever the weather.

This stylish home away from home has many character features, with exposed stonework, beams and split levels on the ground floor. There are three bedrooms suitable to sleeping up to six guests with one king-size on the ground floor, which is accessed via one step up and has TV/DVD, a built-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room with WC. Also on this floor is one twin bedroom, accessed via two steps down with a fitted wardrobe, TV/DVD and en-suite shower room with WC. Upstairs is a further twin bedroom with a low level doorway, exposed A-frame beams, TV and a door leading out on to a small decked balcony and steps leading down to the rear garden. The main bathroom, which is situated on the ground floor, has a shower over bath and WC. The property has a large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a woodburner (first basket of logs provided) TV, hi-fi and comfortable sofas. If you choose to stay in and cook rather than go out, the kitchen has everything you will need to cook up a storm for your friends and family, with all integral appliances, an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and many useful extras.

French doors lead guests outside, where they can enjoy a sunny patio area and garden, with garden furniture and a gas BBQ. Guests are also encouraged to visit the animals and see the day-to-day activities of working farm and to wander across the fields. There is also a swing, slide and football goal, perfect for children.

Incredibly spacious property with safe, enclosed grassy garden, which our young kids loved. Very conveniently located for beaches, gardens, theme parks and other attractions. Strongly recommend!

We had a lovely holiday at Burford Linhay,it was perfect. Diana and George were wonderful hosts. Our grandchildren loved visiting the farm and insisted on saying goodbye to the cows before we left.We hope to come back next year .

This cottage was absolutely perfect. We went in the February half term with our 11 & 9 yr olds who were overjoyed with the enormous garden!! There were beautiful views as far as the eye could see and so peaceful! The house was so clean and fresh and the log fire made for super cosy nights watching movies and playing board games! This house is just Read moreperfect for relaxing spending quality time together. The hosts George and Diana couldn't be more accommodating! Would recommend this place to anyone!! Hide

We had a lovely holiday in this cosy, comfortable, clean and very well equipped cottage. The location was quiet and peaceful, but within easy driving distance of so many things to see and do. The owners were really friendly and helpful and even gave us a tour of the farm. We would highly recommend this place!
