Set back from the owner’s restaurant and bar, Oak Lodge is easily accessible from the A30 and offers guests the ability to walk from the door straight to the Devon countryside. Okehampton, which is just a 10-minute drive away, has a variety of shops, markets and local shops to browse, as well as some lovely cafes which are perfect for a lunchtime snack. If the weather is bad, the town also offers a leisure centre, with an indoor heated pool, gym, sports hall and dance studio. For the outdoor lover, there are many attractions nearby, from the Granite Way Cycle Track, Meldon Reservoir, Meldon Viaduct and, in Spring, bluebell woods. National Trust’s Lydford Gorge, horse riding facilities, golf, fishing and the remains of a Medieval Castle are all close by.
The accommodation offers two bedrooms, one double with en-suite shower room and WC and one twin bedroom. There is one communal bathroom in the accommodation with a shower over bath and WC. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a Smart TV, electric fire and French doors which open out onto the decking and hot tub. If you prefer to stay in and cook, the well-equipped kitchen has an electric cooker and gas hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Outside is a spacious decked area, which has been gated, with garden furniture and a private, hot tub with iPod dock and speakers.
