Situated in the owner’s grounds, the barn overlooks the blossoming orchard and is ideally located near the traffic free Bude cycle route. The golden sands of Widemouth Bay are nearby and is popular with families and keen surfers. With plenty of rock pools to explore and surf schools, children will love this award winning beach. Well-positioned on the Devon and Cornwall border, you can explore some of the area’s greatest offerings such as golden sandy beaches, National Trust locations and adventure parks such as The Milky Way or The Big Sheep. The seaside town of Bude is nearby and offers a fun-fuelled day out for the whole family, with the canal rowing boats, three beaches, golf course, bicycle hire, galleries and a wide selection of shops.
There are two entrances to the barn, either through the front door which has 6 steps down or through the garden patio doors. On the ground floor, you can find the modern open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner. The lounge area offers plenty of comfy seating and a Smart TV. The dining area is situated in the lounge area and the large patio doors lets the natural light flood in and provides wonderful views of the garden and orchard whilst dining with the family. The hideaway kitchen benefits from an electric oven, two ring hob, fridge and microwave. The kitchen is discreetly covered by folding doors to provide a more homely feel in the evenings. Also on the ground floor you can find a pretty twin bedroom and contemporary wet room. The open-tread oak staircase winds its way up leading you to the beautifully presented double bedroom with pitched ceiling and wooden panelling.
Heading outside, there is a large decked area with garden furniture, which is a great spot to enjoy breakfast or a light lunch. There is also a BBQ for those lazy summer evenings. Guests can also make use of the large enclosed lawn area which benefits from swings and play equipment which will keep the kids entertained.
