This property sits nestled in a quiet spot in the idyllic Devonshire countryside, surrounded by attractive villages, each with their own character. The stunning Devon coast is just eight miles away, and offers some beautiful beaches, such as the one at Westward Ho!; pretty fishing villages, like Clovelly, a beautifully maintained heritage village; and secluded coves and clifftop walks on the Hartland Peninsula. For those who fancy a change of scene, there is plenty to see away from the seaside, including RHS Rosemoor, the riverside town of Bideford, and The Milky Way Adventure Park.

This single-storey barn conversion is accessed via a ramp which leads up to the front door. The main living space is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a relaxing space with a contemporary feel to it. The lounge area has a warming wood burner, a TV, DVD, so guests can snuggle up in the evenings and catch up with their favourite programmes. There is a small dining table, ideal for romantic meals, whilst the kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bedroom is a comfortable double room, which has a sleek en-suite wet room with shower and WC.

Outside, the property benefits from an enclosed, raised decked patio area, which offers garden furniture from which guests can enjoy the tranquil surroundings. In addition to this, guests have access to the ten acres of grounds surrounding the property, which is shared with the owner, whose home is also located here. Wander down to the lake, or spend a few hours fishing in the river (guests should bring their own fishing equipment).

The cottage and its surroundings are absolutely lovely, it was a little remote which added to the break. Access to the cottage was ideal (especially if disabled) the cottage it's self was extremely well equipped and very comfortable and homely. The grounds with the small lake and the river were a delight. We and our dogs loved it.
