Westward Ho! is a delightful and friendly Victorian coastal resort offering a wide range of attractions, including a beautiful beach, the Royal North Devon Golf Club, the North Devon Surf School, tennis courts, National Trust cliff-top walks and Northam Burrows Country Park. The charming market town of Bideford is two miles away and boasts a selection of shops and a pannier market. You could take a day trip to Lundy Island on the MS Oldenburg, walk or cycle along the Tarka Trail, or enjoy visits to Tapeley Park and Gardens, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park, RHS Rosemoor Gardens or simply enjoy the gorgeous local beaches and countryside.

On entering this lovely cottage, you will find yourself in the welcoming and attractive lounge where you can relax with the TV/DVD. Heading into the kitchen/diner you can find everything you may need including electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. The dining area is ideally situated whether you’re enjoying a snack or a special meal. Heading upstairs, there are to bedrooms: one double and one twin. There is also a bathroom, complete with shower over the bath and WC.

Stepping back outside the front door you will find a small private enclosed gravel area with picket fence surrounding. Or you can relax in the shared BBQ area with picnic tables and garden chairs a short walk from the cottage.

The cottage is part of a complex of properties which share the outdoor 40ft swimming pool with seating, which is heated through the main summer months (from the last May Bank Holiday week until the 1st September only). There is also a communal children’s play area, with swings, slides, football goal posts and swing ball set. (bats and football provided) Car parking space is allocated, and secure storage is available for bikes and surfboards etc. There is also a shared utility room with coin operated commercial washing machines and tumble dryer. Surrounding the complex are 15 acres of working farmland with access to public footpaths where you can walk the dog (on lead due to cattle) or just simply admire the stunning countryside and coastline.

Great stay. Lively location and we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. Its a bit of a climb but we all loved it! The pool was also a very nice addition and was never too busy which was also a nice treat. All in all very enjoyable stay and cant wait to come back :)

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was well equipped. The parking was easy and the pool was well looked after and clean. Great location for exploring north Devon. The local Beaches are beautiful and we saw Dolphins on our first evening down at Westward Ho! Lovely places to visit like Clovelly, Appledore and Woolacombe beach. You can walk to Westwood Read moreHo! Where the restaurants and beach is But not easy with small children. We would stay again. Hide

Couldnt fault the accommodation and was lovely to have an enclosed garden for dog (who loved the walks) especially down to the beach and back (tho a bit hilly). The pool was fab, couldnt get the boys out of there!! Will definitely book again

Our stay at Goldings cottage was great. It was equipped with everything you need and more. The owners are lovely and always keeping the areas clean including the pool. We made some amazing memories of my little boy swimming for the first time. Its certainly a relaxing place and the park is a lovely addition. Over all, the cottage was ok and quiet for sleeping, and within easy driving distance of various locations. One of the reasons we booked the cottage, was so we could have use of the swimming pool and disappointed when we were told it was closed.

Just had a most enjoyable stay at the beautifully clean and excellently equipped Goldings Cottage, the owners could not have been nicer people making us feel very welcome. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to return again in the future.

Goldings cottage was lovely and we really enjoyed our break. The cottage was immaculate, and we appreciated the little touches, such as bottles of the local brew, waiting for us on the dining table. It's quiet location, and the lovely outdoor pool, made for a lovely holiday. We cannot wait to go back

Beautiful cottage overlooking the pool area, very comfortable and cosy, had everything we needed, surroundings were stunning, lovely gardens and bbq area. Good location and in easy reach of Westward Ho!
