The village boasts a pretty harbour and sheltered sandy bay with a 17th century inn, post office, bakery and a few small shops. From here the South West Coast Path also offers walks with breath-taking views and enthusiastic walkers can head out towards the expansive surfing beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe on foot. A short drive away, the traditional Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe offers a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as traditional amusement arcades, cinema, Landmark Theatre and the opportunity to see Damien Hirst’s ‘Verity’. Stepping into the characterful property with split levels throughout, a small hallway leads through to a useful ground floor shower room with WC. This provides a perfect place to clean up after a day at the beach. From here a couple of steps down takes you through to a fantastically spacious yet cosy lounge, where soft leather sofas sit in front of a Smart TV with DVD, and the lovely fireplace is fitted with a warming wood burner effect electric fire. Another small flight of steps then takes you up and into the kitchen/diner, this is well-equipped and offers an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Head upstairs and onto the first floor you will then find yourself amongst the pretty bedrooms, which include a beautifully appointed king-size and a twin bedroom. The final flight of steps leads up to the second floor and here another spacious king-size bedroom sits next to a lovely family bathroom with hand-held shower over bath, separate shower and WC.
Venturing outside, more delights are in store in the shape of a large walled cottage garden with lawn, decked patio area, garden furniture and BBQ. Private off-road parking for two cars is provided.
