The cottage is nestled in the traditional rural fishing village of Bucks Mills, which is situated within the North Devon Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by National Trust woodlands, a walker’s paradise, only steps to magnificent coastal clifftop walks and winding woodland paths. Enjoy a wealth of local tourist attractions in the area. The Big Sheep is a short drive, as is the cobbled streets of Clovelly, Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal and more. When you've finished all those, fall asleep in peaceful serenity with the sounds of a babbling brook and owls hooting in the woods.
Enter this delightful cottage into the welcoming lounge with comfy sofa’s set-in front of the warming wood burner. Here is a great space to relax after a day of exploring the beach or surrounding woodland, to watch your favourite movie on the TV/DVD. Set off the lounge, you will enter the kitchen/diner, which is well-equipped with oil-fired Redfyre stove, microwave/combination oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Also gather around the dining table which can comfortably seat eight, to enjoy a family meal or a light snack. Back through to the lounge and up the stairs there is a split-level part the way up which leads to the you to the shower room with shower and WC. To complete this split level there is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading back up the stairs to the first floor this is where you will find the remaining three bedrooms, two doubles and a further cosy bunk bedroom for 2 children, all with views to the front of the cottage garden.
Heading outside via the front door, is a lawn area to the front of the property, then winding around to the back of the property there is a patio area with seating and a charcoal BBQ. There is a narrow path (steep in places) with steps that climbs up behind the cottage to a private hideaway with a day bed. The path continues to the very top of the garden with a children's play tower for all your 'would be' knights and princesses. Please note children must take care. There is roadside parking for one car directly outside the property with further available along this no through road, which is quiet as it accesses the properties in the village only. There is also a public car park 200 yards up the road.
