Take a walk directly from the estate to the Axmouth to Lyme Regis Undercliffs National Nature Reserve, where there is a plethora of wildlife. Being only a short distance from the Jurassic Coast, there is no shortage of stunning scenery and wonderful walks, as well as a beach for use solely by the Rousdon Estate. Take a trip to the charming cobbled streets of Lyme Regis, where you can wander through the galleries and visit the historic Cobb before testing out one of the many cafe’s and eateries. Also, nearby is the seaside village of Beer and towns of Seaton and Sidmouth, or why not explore one of the numerous National Trust properties that are easily accessible by car. Direct access to the South West Coast Path and within easy reach of Seaton Wetlands Bird Reserves. Children will love the numerous beaches along this coast or having fun at the many attractions on offer - Pecorama, Seaton Trams or Dinosaurland Fossil Museum all offer great days out.
A short path leads you to the front door, which opens into a welcoming and spacious hallway with a useful separate WC with utility area with washer/dryer and freezer. Immediately to your left is a bright and airy lounge with Smart TV, DVD and a selection of DVD's and doors to the garden, this inviting space is sure to make you feel right at home. Immediately opposite is a kitchen/diner overlooking the garden. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine and microwave, the perfect spot to prepare a meal. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find a cosy bunk room, suitable for children under 12 years and a pretty twin bedroom. The last bedroom is a double with en-suite shower room with shower and WC. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
Heading outside from the lounge you will find an enclosed garden with a seating area immediately behind the cottage and charcoal BBQ, this tranquil spot is the ideal place for some rest and relaxation. A large lawn extends from here with glimpses over the Exe Valley from the end. For the younger members of the group there is a tree swing available and plenty of space to run off that extra energy. A short walk from the property brings you to a shared parking area with space for one car.
