This lovingly renovated Victorian property situated in the heart of the quaint seaside village of Appledore has beaches and attractions all within easy reach which makes this the perfect getaway.

Situated in a quiet part of the village and within walking distance of the quaint cobbled streets, where many cafes and independent shops are on offer. Enjoy a meal in one of the local pubs or restaurants and admire the views across to Instow, you can even take the ferry across during the summer months. In the area, there are stunning walks along the coastal path or the famous Tarka Trail. Within a short car journey of the property is one of North Devon’s main beaches, Westward Ho! which boasts a two mile stretch of golden sands and the unique pebble ridge. Other family attractions in the area are, The Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep, RHS Rosemoor and Let’s Go Bowling & Skating.

On entering this beautiful cottage, you are greeted by a light and airy hallway which will be the perfect spot to hang your coats and leave your walking boots behind. To your right is the lounge, where you can cosy up under a throw and enjoy a movie or two on the Smart TV. Head down the hallway where you will find a separate WC, next to the entrance of the spacious kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave and dishwasher, this space is great for budding cooks. Leading off the kitchen via the utility room (with washing machine) there is the dining room which offers seating for up to four guests. The utility room has a fridge/freezer and also leads to the bathroom with a hand-held shower over bath and WC. Heading up the stairs after a long day of exploring and here you will find two bedrooms, the master which offers a double bed, Smart TV and en-suite shower and WC. Across the landing is the twin zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a king-size on request at the time of booking) and Smart TV.

Heading outside, the property has a quaint courtyard space with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ. A great place for a spot of tea or to allow the dog to dry off after a long walk along the beach.

There is roadside parking available subject to availability alternatively, there is a long stay car park located nearby.

We found the cottage easily as the directions given were very good. The small sitting room was fine for all of us and we appreciated the shutters which gave us privacy from people passing on the footpath outside. Beautiful cottage. Spotlessly clean. The only negative would be the garden. If you love to sit outside this isn't the cottage for you. If you struggle walking and climbing steep stairs (definitely a climb) this isn't for you. Luckily this wasn't a problem for us. I think if the garden was designed it would be an amazing stay. We loved this cottage and Appledore is just so quaint, a peaceful haven! Parking not guaranteed outside use the main car park 22.50 for 7 days and only 5min walk (uphill) to the cottage. Park on pavement to unload on arrival might need to block road briefly. The front room is a cosy space, the kitchen is large and the dining room and courtyard are Read moresunny aspect. Nice little house in a lovely village. Great location for accessing the rest of North Devon. The lounge was cosy and the kitchen was nicely equipped. Stairs quite steep. We are a couple in our 30s so were ok, but older people or children may struggle at times. No dogs permitted upstairs or on the soft furnishings. Lovely little cottage just a stones throw from the shops and pubs. Lovely cottage close to amenities. High chair and two baby gates are provided. Stairs are very steep, consideration for anyone with mobility issues. Street also has a steep hill. No parking for the cottage, we had no problem parking on the street. Choice of bathroom downstairs, WC in the hallway, ensuite shower room in the rear bedroom. A cosy place to stay with a well equipped kitchen. Although outside area has no views it does provide a welcome sun trap. There is no outside parking but we parked at the Odun Road long stay parking outside the museum which is a short walk away. You can purchase a weekly pass for 16. This is a lovely house, decorated with tasteful pictures and seaside ornaments, situated on a very quiet lane which is notably steep. Everything you need is available in the house together with a useful dog towel and bowls. Great base for exploring, lovely restaurants in the town.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. Appledore is a delightful little village. The cottage had everything we could possibly need for us and our dog. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Fabulous cottage in great location , lovely views from the garden and bedrooms. Everything provided is of good quality and the owners have though of everything you would need for a holiday. On road parking can be an issue but park in the car park opposite the museum for 16 per week , its close to the cottage and avoids the hill walk. We had a wonderful holiday. The cottage was lovely and equipped with everything you need , spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I had the best nights sleep in a long time. We fell in love with Appledore, with its quaint streets and the boat trip across to Instow , perfect so much to see and do in and around Appledore. We will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in an immaculate and well presented cottage. Well within walking distance of the very picturesque centre of Appledore and its amenities. We ate at the Yard, the flame factory, the Royal George and the beaver inn and would recommend all. We also had takeaway fish and chips from the bottom of the road which was excellent. Beautiful cottage well situated, clean and well appointed. Very quiet, and in easy reach of all amenities. Lounge on the small size, ok for 2 but imagine 4 adults and a dog would feel cramped. Welcome outside space though it is quite sparse. Would happily return

Lagoon View is an excellent base for a break in the Appledore. Views from the house are wonderful, and you feel part of the web of roads that make Appledore so special. The accomodation, furnishings and facilities are all excellent. We were very happy there.

This is a lovely comfortable, well equipped cottage. It is up quite a steep hill from the Quay. We opted not to park on the street opposite the cottage but we're able to find parking easily on the quay. Not sure if this would be possible in season but there is a large car park close by.

Amazing cottage right in town. Easy to load and unload at the door especially if lucky enough to grab a parking space! Everything you need for an amazing holiday. Netflix was a bonus for the rainy days. At the top of a VERY steep hill so not easy for those with reduced mobility or lung capacity. Amazing property.
