Situated in the traditional fishing village of Appledore with views of the Torridge Estuary from the top floor and living area, this property is within walking distance of its quintessential quayside and selection of shops, galleries, family pubs and Maritime Museum. Beyond Appledore itself, the North Devon coastline is lined with quaint fishing villages, sheltered coves and the golden sandy beaches of Westward Ho and Instow providing countless destinations for great days out. Other nearby popular attractions include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, RHS Rosemoor and the Royal North Devon Golf Course.

The stylish accommodation is accessed via the second floor of this coastal townhouse and offers open-plan living filled with nautical touches and plenty of natural light. On the entrance level, there is one king-size bedroom, one bunk bedroom and a bathroom with shower over bath. Most of your time will be spent on the first floor where the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is located. The contemporary kitchen area contains an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave, together with a good-sized dining table. The lounge area beyond is light and airy and features a smart TV/DVD. On the ground floor, the master king-size bedroom can be made into a twin on request and enjoys an en-suite with walk in shower and doors leading onto the enclosed patio area, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. Also, on the ground floor is a utility room, which houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. During your stay, enjoy al fresco meals on the enclosed patio area at the rear of the property where you will find garden furniture and a BBQ. There is a selection of DVDs and board games as well as some beach toys and a crabbing net which guests may borrow.

We stay in two or three properties each year and Estuary View is one of the best equipped and most comfortable we have visited. The layout is great, furnishings well thought out, kitchen well stocked, sitting out area a real little sun trap, walk to the sea front just a couple of minutes and a great base for seeing so much of North Devon. We had a superb Christmas and New Year stay in Estuary View cottage. Location is ideal .. a few minutes walk takes you to Appledore quay with its shops and pubs. The layout of the cottage was perfect for families sharing. The beds/sofas were extremely comfortable and the whole cottage was warm and cosy. We would definitely stay here again!

Well equipped property .Brilliant shower .2 parking spaces available. Easy walk to Appledore River front .Lots of stairs but soon got used to and good exercise! Help nearby ( caretaker ) if needed .

Very comfortable and well appointed. The accommodation had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Within easy reach of pubs and restaurants in Appledore, but as with a lot of coastal villages it is quite hilly. Added bonus was the on-site parking space.

We love this house and is my youngest grandchilds favourite place. She is 5 and wants to live there when she grows up. My daughter who is disabled, refused to go to a different cottage as she loves this one so much, it was a struggle for her this year but they are already set for us coming again next year.

Overall, a very good stay. The property is in a residential area with all amenities in the village within walking distance downhill. Previous renters have mentioned the bunk bedroom which really is compact and the upstairs king-size room is (in our opinion) a double. The downstairs king-size room with ensuite shower and first floor living areas allRead more good. It was clean and for us (staying outside of school holidays) was good value for money.
