This delightful cottage is located in the stunning Devonshire countryside, close to the popular village of Hartland as well as a short drive to private village of Clovelly, famous for its cobbled streets. Slightly further afield from the pretty harbour town of Bideford, offering narrow winding streets lined with interesting shops, making it a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Or you may take the boat from Bideford Quay, or Ilfracombe, out to the island of Lundy, a beautiful three-mile wide wild island located in the Bristol Channel. There are several beaches in the area, the closest being Hartland Quay which has spectacular scenery throughout the year and the large family-friendly beach at Westward Ho! which also boasts two miles of sand and a surfing academy.

Entering the property via external stone steps you are greeted with an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with views over the garden and surrounding countryside. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The lounge area has a Smart TV and DVD player surrounded by comfy sofas, the perfect place to relax at the end of the day catching up on a movie or just admiring the views across the garden, and a good size dining table makes for easy mealtimes. Heading down the stairs to a lower ground floor you will find two bedrooms, a double and a twin bedroom as well as a shower room with underfloor heating, a shower, hand basin and WC.

Stepping outside you will find an enclosed lawn area with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ. You will also be able to explore the site and have access to the shared indoor heated swimming pool. You will need to book use of the Sauna and Hot Tub. A shared games room is adjacent to the pool area with table tennis, darts and pool table as well as a comfy seating area and large TV, plenty of books and games are also available and makes a great facility for adults and children alike. A shared utility room is also onsite with washing machines and a tumble dryer. Plus a shared, gated field perfect for exercising the dogs.Ample parking is also available.

A lovely cottage stay in Hartland. Our hosts were very welcoming and patient with our two boys who enjoyed asking them lots of questions! The cottage itself had everything that we needed for our stay in a clean modern kitchen and lounge with the two bedrooms and bathroom on the floor below. We had a lovely stay at Bay cottage. The accomodation was great with an excellent equipped kitchen which made cooking very easy. The additional facilities of the Games room was enjoyed by all the family, a nice way to spend time in the evening. We had a lovely stay we rented all 3 cottages for a family of 10 21st dec to 27th dec Christmas gathering , they are all two bedroom We all got together in olive cottage as it seems bigger and is a better lay out , we had 3 dogs and the gardens are totally secure , kids loved the pool didnt really use the games room all the cottages are well equippRead moreed the local village is under 10 min pubs shop , big asda McDonalds, dominos Aldi /Lidl are only 25 min drive in Bideford We will return Hide

Our stay at the cottage was great, very clean, everything we needed to cook and it was very comfortable. Using the pool table and hot tub was a great way to spend an evening. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Only slight downside was the very creaky floor making a racket for downstairs, the twin bedroom is not suitable for light sleepersRead more! Faultless. Wonderful cottage and hosts. Pool and games facilities were perfect for a stay with our grandchildren :-) Grounds, wild meadow etc great for early evening wildlife-spotting walk. We didn't have a dog but also very dog friendly.
