Impressive detached house on the edge of this North Devon village of Hartland offering superb countryside views and on a clear day you can see Lundy Island makes it a convenient base for a family holiday or group of friends looking to holiday together. If it's surf and sea you’re after the seaside town of Westward Ho! is just a short drive away and boasts three miles of golden sandy beach making it the ultimate day out for the family. If you would rather relax on your Devon getaway then the pretty fishing village of Clovelly is a lovely place to spend an afternoon, and with its cobbled streets filled with shops and pubs you’ll easily while away an afternoon. Other attractions in the area include The Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep Adventure Park, RHS Garden Rosemoor, Hartland Abbey and many more.

Enter this stunning detached property into an entrance hall, to your left is the open-plan kitchen/diner, well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. An adjacent utility room with a stable style door, offers a washing machine and tumble dryer, perfect for dogs. Also within the utility room you will find a wet room with WC. The dining area seats everyone and offers stunning views out over the large garden. The stylish lounge has comfy seating with plenty of room for everyone to sit and watch a film on the Smart TV with Samsung/Sky package, also you will find a selection of games and books. Just off here is a small games room with a small desk and chair and computer for those needing to catch up with some work, there is a PlayStation 4. Also a small sofa which turns into a small pull out bed if desired. Heading up to the first floor you will find three bedrooms. A king-size with en-suite shower room with Smart TV, shower and WC, the second bedroom with a twin zip-and-link with TV/DVD (which can be made into a king-size on request, must be stated at the time of booking), and the third bedroom is a king-size with TV/DVD player. Also, on this floor is the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Head up to the second floor where you will find the remaining two bedrooms a king-size and a twin(restricted head room), both with Velux windows offering beautiful countryside views.

Venturing outside the large gardens are a real asset to the property with rattan garden furniture at the front of the property to enjoy some alfresco dining. To the rear is a large patio area along with a large lawn for kids to run around and let off some steam. You will also find a games room in the garage housing the 3 in 1 pool table/air hockey/table tennis table and darts board. A large driveway allows off-road parking for up to four cars.

The house was lovely, we were a party of 4 adults, 3 children and 4 dogs and there was more than enough room. The utility room was perfect for the dogs. The owners were helpful throughout our stay and gave us loads of information on the local area. The views from the garden are amazing.

The House is large and very comfortable. The village is tiny, but has everything you need. Both pubs are dog friendly. Hartland Quay is a gem to visit. Check the tide times, as there is a sandy beach but only when the tide is out. Nearest sandy beach otherwise is a 30 minute drive. We had a great time.

Great place beds a bit to soft but thats just personal preference Only negative The fence at the bottom of the garden unfortunately my dogs did not like the sheep needs to be higher and closed in otherwise great place

We had a lovely family holidays day in Hillcrest, unfortunately we picked the worst week in September weather wise, but never mind we still managed to get out and about. Tracey the owner was very helpful when we had a couple of queries. I would definitely recommend this property

The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and felt very welcoming on our arrival. The welcome package was greatly appreciated by all including the dogs! Thank you Tracey and for staying in touch before, during and at the end of our stay. There is plenty to do if you manage to get out and about around Hartland but due to the bad weather we wRead moreere not able to, however there were plenty of games, books dvds to keep us all occupied. Fantastic big modern house with loads of space. Great for the kids (we had 4) and dogs (4 again!) - really safe garden and good parking. The village is really nice with 3 pubs and a good chippy and shop. We had a great time.

We stayed here as a family of 5, our 3 month old son, and our 4 dogs! Lovely spacious cottage with plenty of room, spotlessly clean. Tracey was amazing, we had a couple of issues with the appliances and she sorted them straight out - she is a real credit to this property. Its so quiet with plenty of garden space for the dogs to run out. Kitchen is Read moreso well equipped. Wed recommend the anchor inn for Sunday lunch, the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a great place to stay, very well equipped with everything you need. The outside hose with a strong pressure was really useful to hose down the dogs after a visit to the beach. Tracey was a great host too and quickly resolved a few minor issues. Thank you!
