Situated in a peaceful residential road, the property is just a set of steps away from bustling Brixham. This celebrated harbour boasts fishing and boating trips for exploring the coastline together with an impressive menu of freshly caught seafood all year round. With a fascinating history of pirates and smugglers, there is much to discover in this charming seaside town, and in its neighbouring coastal destinations such as Torquay and Dartmouth. The South West Coast path is close by and is a haven for walkers to soak in the amazing views the coastal path has to offer.

Take the steps up to the entrance of this charming property, upon entering you’ll be welcomed into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area boasts seating and a Smart TV for you to catch up on your favourite programmes, head into the dining area for a superb meal with all the family whilst the wood burner crackles in the background. A few steps to the kitchen, well-equipped with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine and doors leading to the outside patio area. Younger guests in the group will be well entertained with the games room boasting a Smart TV with Wii console with balance board and dance mat, an arcade machine and a selection of board games. Completing the ground floor is a separate WC.

Heading up to the first floor you’ll find three of the properties four bedrooms, one king-size and one double and a single along with a bathroom with freestanding roll top bath, separate shower and WC. Head up again to the second floor, which has steep steps and you’ll find a triple bedroom with three single beds, not suitable for children under 3 and those with restricted mobility.

Outside, the split-level enclosed terrace garden has a patio table and chairs, so when there’s nothing left to do but sit for a while,(please note there are steep steps to the upper terrace patio area)  you’ll be able to sip on a glass of something bubbly and just enjoy the setting. The garage area has a table tennis table and football table. There is off-road parking for one medium size car in the garage, located below the property, with a restricted height of 1.7m.

  • Brixham is a busy fishing village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.
  • Many of the amenities and cottages in Brixham are accessed via steps some of which can be steep.

  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week

We thoroughly enjoyed our week- a few (steep!) minutes walk from town, 5 minutes from the harbour, very convenient. On-street parking is near impossible (as described), but despite saying that the garage can fit a medium size car, we managed (with suspension lowered) to get our full size 4x4 into the garage, which was a godsend. The walk down to the harbour is fine although a little steep and steps very steep but the walk up obviously very hard work! Easiest hill to use when walking back to address is oppose the Wetherspoons, theres handlebars to assist in getting up the hill which helps a lot

We enjoyed our stay at the Pilot House very much and was well suited for 8 guests. Also having the parking for one of the cars was a plus. The central heating worked very well and the log fire was a bonus. Would certainly book again with a party of 8.

We had a lovely stay at Pilot House. The house is spacious and had everything we needed. The location in Brixham was great. Having the garage space was very useful.

The cottage was comfortable and well located for all things Brixham. The garage was much appreciated if not a little snug for my car. The shower was wonderful. My only negative comment is the oven trays need replacing and freezer cleaned.

Beautiful, well equipped house, comfortably sleeps 7. V close to Fore st but like everywhere in Brixham it's a lot of steps up! Sun terrace at top of garden is lovely in afternoon sun.

Hob still had grease on it from previous renter, bin was dirty and greasy had to clean before using it. Microwave yuk. Rug in front room smelt. Mugs in cupboard dirty had to wash two before use, generally the kitchen standard was poor.floor in the kitchen was sticky, the outside space is unkept also unusable at night due to lack of lighting. Really enjoyed our stay. Its a lovely home, clean, with all the facilities you need. Very spacious for all our family. The large garage was ideal as parking spaces outside were very limited. We actually fit two cars in the garage with a bit of manoeuvring. I would recommend this property and would stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful house and very comfortable Landlady was great for communication Everything you needed was in the property We have to give a mention to the stunning roll top Bath.
