This is also the perfect base to venture to Exmouth for golden sandy beaches when the sun is shining. Nearby is the historic city of Exeter, with its cathedral and array of shops, accessible via train, a journey which provides wonderful views over the estuary. Other attractions and places of interest locally include historic Powderham Castle; the shopper's paradise of Dart's Farm; the National Trust's Killerton House; the rolling hills and tors of Dartmoor National Park; stunning Exmoor; Torbay and the English Riviera; the delightful South Hams and the Jurassic Coast which extends North into Dorset.
Step inside this beautiful cottage on the ground floor to find yourself in the open-plan lounge/diner. The lounge area has comfortable seating for all guests and features a Smart TV to relax in front of after a day of venturing around the Exe Estuary. There is a characterful wood burner which is brilliant for those chilly nights. The dining area has seating for all guests next to the front window and is a great spot for a home-cooked meal using local ingredients from the town. Moving towards the back of the cottage brings you to the light and airy kitchen, a fantastic well-equipped space comprising of an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Climbing the steep and narrow cottage-style stairs to the first floor brings you to the first bedroom: a lovely king-size bedroom overlooking the front of the property. The bathroom is also found on the first floor, featuring a shower over the bath and WC. The last bedroom is up another flight of stairs on the second floor: a spacious king-size zip-and-link bedroom which can be made as a twin with 2'6" singles upon request.
Outside, there is a small enclosed courtyard space with a small table and chairs. Roadside parking can be found nearby (subject to availability) or alternatively there are a couple of public car parks nearby (charges apply).
