A beautiful beachside chalet, offering a peaceful retreat where you can enjoy stunning walks along the sandy estuary beach or enjoy a drink or bite to eat in one of the many eateries in the village.

Unwind and recharge your batteries at this delightful and surprisingly spacious property, which is set in an enviable position close to the sandy beach and dunes at Instow. The village boasts several pubs, restaurants, a deli and a tearoom, all a level walk from the property. There is a small passenger ferry (which runs from Instow during the summer) that takes you across the estuary to the quaint fishing village of Appledore. Family attractions such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way, or Clovelly, Tapeley Park and RHS Gardens at Rosemoor are all worth a visit. And after a busy day out you can watch the sun setting over Lundy Island from the comfort of your sitting room, or take an evening stroll just a hundred yards to the beach. Alternatively, take a cycle ride on the beautiful Tarka Trail which runs directly past the property or walk along the South West Coast Path which also passes the house.

This well-presented chalet offers a warm welcome. From the front door, you enter the attractive hall with ample shoe storage and coat hanging space. The light and airy lounge/kitchen/diner is stylishly furnished with stunning views of the sea, the thatched cricket club, an adjacent grassy car park on one side and the Tarka Trail on the other. With its comfy seating, wood burner and TV, it’s the obvious place to relax after a busy day’s adventuring. The high-quality kitchen/diner is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, fridge with ice box compartment, washing machine and tumble dryer, and you can share a meal around the pretty handpainted table. There are three bedrooms; one double with sea views, one 4ft double and a bunk bedroom (please note the bunk bedroom can accommodate either one adult on the bottom bunk or two young children) The superb shower room completes the accommodation with a fully tiled shower room with WC.

Heading outside from the lounge, you’ll find the enclosed courtyard area with seating, a shed for bicycle storage and a gate onto the Tarka Trail behind. There is allocated free parking for one car in the private car park just along from the chalet and other cars can park in the pay and display car park opposite.
