A beautiful and well presented Grade II-listed cottage set between the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Dartmoor National Park.

Conveniently located in the historic town of Tavistock, this delightful cottage makes the perfect base to explore the pannier market, shops, cafes and restaurants. Alternatively, if you're looking to be a bit more adventurous, Dartmoor National Park is a 4-mile drive away where you can take in breathtaking landscapes and visit traditional villages, remote tors and flowing rivers. Heading 15 miles south will take you to the regional capital of Plymouth which offers many amenities, including the National Marine Aquarium, The Hoe and The Theatre Royal. There are also many nearby family attractions including Dingles Fairground, Pennywell Farm, and The Dartmoor Mystery Treasure Trail, all with 25 miles.

Step inside this fantastic cottage and find yourself in the kitchen, a well-equipped space and perfect for putting together a home-cooked meal with local ingredients. The kitchen comprises a gas range oven and hob with an electric warming compartment, fridge with ice compartment, and microwave. There is also a handy external utility room located opposite the front door which houses a washing machine and a useful area to store personal possessions. Moving through the cottage will bring you to the open-plan lounge/diner, a spacious room with comfortable seating for all guests. Here you can have a nice family meal together or simply relax on the sofa in front of the smart TV and catch up with your favourite shows after a day of exploring the local area. Heading up the narrow, steep, staircase brings you to the first floor where you will find both bedrooms. The double bedroom features a TV and overlooks the wonderful garden and there is a small double (4’ bed) facing the front of the property. Upstairs also features a bathroom comprising of a bath with a shower adapter on the taps and a WC.

Outside the property is a delightful rear garden with a table and chairs for guests to relax on, made up with a lawn and small patio area. Parking is available first-come, first-served near the entrance to the cottage on the main road. Alternative street parking is also available on one of the side streets nearby.

I stayed here with my dog and felt immediately at home. The cottage is really great, everything was clean and the owners are absolutely lovely! It's only a short walk into town and a park for walking the dog is just a few minutes away. Would highly recommend staying here!

Cosy comfortable cottage, very well equipped, within easy reach of a park (for exercising the dog) and not far to town centre. Lovely letter of welcome and some essentials provided plus some 'goodies' ! We felt at home immediately. Would certainly recommend . Hope to return.

Lovely cosy cottage with everything we needed and a very nice welcome hamper and dog bowls. Only a short walk along the riverside through the park into the town and nice walk along the canal just a few minutes from the cottage.

A very cozy and welcoming cottage, lovely welcome in basket of tea , coffee,milk,honey and biscuits. We couldn't take our dog in the end, but lovely to find bowls ,bed and a towel waiting for her. Very quiet and nice to hear the river at night. The neighbours were very pleasant and helpful with information about parking for goose fair. We had a great time at the cottage and our daughter loved the garden and the playground nearby. We had a very nice and need welcome package and usually found a space to park right on the street.

This cottage is in a perfect location to walk into Tavistock through the park. It was really comfortable and had ample supplies of everything we needed in order to be comfortable and keep the place nice and clean. There was a generous welcome pack which was enough to make a simple couple of meals if we didnt fancy going out. This cottage is ideal for visiting this part of Devon. Loved the walking distance to the centre of Tavistock where there are exquisite delicatessen, loads of coffee places. The cottage itself was very cozy, warm, with everything you need to feel at home. We had a very special walk in Dartmoor. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable. Very well equipped and well situated for food shopping and for walking into the town centre. The stairs might be an issue for anyone with mobility problems and occasionally a parking space nearby was hard to find.

The cottage is well and thoughtfully equipped, very comfortable and a short walk into the centre of Tavistock. You have to park on the main road which can occasionally be problematic but there are usually spaces in nearby streets.
