This property enjoys a quiet rural location on the owner’s 300-acre farm in the Devonshire countryside. Although there is plenty to see and do on and around the farm, those who want to explore more of what the area has to offer will be spoilt for choice, with many sites and attractions being within easy reach of the property. For example, the attractive harbour town of Bideford is just seven miles away, with its narrow streets lined with antique shops, independent boutiques, and a choice of eateries. To the west of the property, the privately-owned village of Clovelly is a lovely place to spend a day discovering what Devonshire life was like in the past, and there is even a small beach here as well as a fishing harbour. The Milky Way family adventure park, with its rides, and play areas is always a hit with young visitors, whilst the sandy beach at Westward Ho!, ten miles from the property, offers a two-mile wide stretch of sandy beach.

This property offers upside-down accommodation, with two of the three bedrooms situated on the ground floor. The double bedroom benefits from Smart TV and an en-suite shower and WC, whilst there is also a spacious and comfortable twin room with Smart TV. The bathroom is also located on the ground floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Stairs lead to the first-floor living area, where there is a cosy lounge with sofa seating and TV/DVD. The light-filled kitchen/diner is accessed through the lounge and offers a wooden dining table, beamed ceiling, an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and iPod dock. There is a convenient utility room adjacent to the property, accessed externally, where guests will find the washing machine, and a free standing plug in electrical airer. Wooden stairs from the lounge lead to the galleried third bedroom, a perfect room for children, with twin beds, a sofa, and a TV.

Outside, there is a lawned garden, with outdoor seating a BBQ, providing guests with a space from which to enjoy the farm’s peace and tranquillity. The games barn offers a wonderful escape for teenagers, with its dartboard, table tennis table, and snooker table. Guests are also able to explore the farm, where they can meet the resident animals, including the cows and chickens, and it is even possible to take a Land Rover tour of the farm with the friendly owners, when they are available.

A very cosy cottage, peaceful and idyllic location and interior. We had a wonderful stay with our family. The hosts Rose and Chunk are very hospitable and we had an interesting tour around the farm. We'll definately come back if we have another vacation in Devon in the future.

Lovely, well equipped cottage. Very spacious and mostly clean. There was rubbish under one of the upstairs beds when we arrived though. Don't think the owners should charge extra for towels, the price of the cottage should include them.

We were made so welcome and encouraged to explore the farm and experience the feeding of the lambs on the farm. The accommodation was so clean and full of everything you could need in the kitchen. Superb welcome and a brilliant relaxing stay with lots of walks locally and close by.
