Perfectly situated just a short drive from the coast and amidst beautiful woodland with an abundance of wildlife, this lovely lodge provides a great base from which to explore North Devon and Cornwall.
Located just outside the village of Woolsery and close to the unique fishing village of Clovelly, this lodge is well situated to explore both the North Cornwall and the North Devon coastlines. It is also only 11.5 miles from the market town of Bideford with its retail park, pubs and restaurants, and the famous pannier market. Westward Ho! is 12 miles away with its 2-mile stretch of sandy beach, arcades and independent eateries. Bude is slightly further afield at 15 miles, although still an easy drive with several sandy beaches, a golf course, canal-side artisan cafes, surf shops, a local history museum and an art gallery. Other attractions such as The Milky Way, The Big Sheep Adventure Park, Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor, Hartland Abbey and Hartland Quay are also within easy reach.
Enter this single-storey lodge into the homely, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The warm and inviting lounge area offers comfortable seating and somewhere to relax, either with a good book or whilst catching up with your favourite programme on the TV. Patio doors open onto the large, enclosed decked balcony. There is a dining area with seating for 6. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is a washer/dryer in the en-suite shower room. There are three bedrooms, one king-size with a balcony and shower room next door with shower and WC. Moving through the lodge, there are two twin rooms, one having views across the balcony, and to complete the accommodation there is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.
Heading outside, enjoy the evening with a glass of your favourite tipple on the enclosed decked balcony, or sit around the pond and watch the birds and wildlife from the undercover area. Dine alfresco at the large wooden dining table and chairs, or hop into the warm bubbles of your private hot tub alongside the balcony, down two steps. As it gets dark, it’s a great spot from which to stargaze. There is ample parking for two cars at the end of your private path.
