Puffin Cottage is positioned in a great location being able to explore both coastal and more rural areas. It has been furnished in a cosy, yet modern style keeping the character of the 18th century cottage, making it a perfect place to return to after a busy day out visiting the area which has so much to offer.

A romantic and wonderfully cosy retreat situated just outside the harbour town of Bideford and in easy reach of both Appledore, where you will find quaint coffee shops and art galleries and Westward Ho! with enormous sandy beaches. Hop on a small ferry from Appledore and find yourself in Instow, where there are more gorgeous beaches and places to eat. Nearby to the cottage, you will find the Northam Burrows where there are some wonderful walks and for golf enthusiasts, has the oldest golf course in England. For the cycling enthusiast there are many local bike hire places where you can access the Tarka Trail, which is 180 miles of a traffic free cycle trail which traverses North Devon and Exmoor, perfect for a day out. From the cottage you can easily access the coastal path which will take you around to Bideford or towards Westward Ho! A little further afield are also the beaches of Saunton and Croyde, both stunning and the beautiful village of Clovelly. There are lots of fabulous restaurants/pubs nearby too if it's food you love!

Enter the cottage into the open-plan living area/kitchen/diner where you are naturally drawn to the cosy living area, the perfect place to sit and snuggle up whilst watching your favourite programmes on the smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, there is also a freezer in the under stairs cupboard. You will also find a washer/dryer and dishwasher in the utility cupboard in the back porch. There is seating for four people around the dining table, the perfect place to catch up over a meal or two. Following through to the downstairs bathroom you will find a very light and bright modern bathroom with a digital power shower over bath and WC, you will also find a stunning Bluetooth mirror where you can look forward to getting ready for a day of exploring. Moving up the stairs is the first of the two bedrooms, a cosy room with bunk beds that is  light and bright overlooking the rear courtyard with glimpses of the beach in the distance. Next door is the double bedroom complete with a TV with Amazon fire stick, a great spot for a lazy morning or breakfast in bed.

Outside is a pleasant courtyard with plant pots and a hardwood bistro set to seat 4, a nice place to sit to either eat or simply to enjoy a few drinks in the evening. There is also a storage box containing a garden umbrella, seat cushions and clothes pegs.

A roaming parking permit is available for guests' use during their stay, which enables free parking in Northam at Bonehill long stay carpark, which is a 6 minute walk. It also includes many long stay car parks in the Torridge District area all year round with the exception of Westward Ho! which is only available to use with the permit between 1st November and 14th March.

Puffin cottage is lovely, very cosy and homely. You can see the sea from the back bedroom and it's a short walk down to northam burrows.
