This gorgeous property nestles in a quiet and secluded setting overlooking the sea, is within walking distance of the beach, and provides a wonderful base for a couples’ retreat.

You will be idyllically placed in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nestled on a stretch of coastline boasting dramatic cliffs and scenery. Within walking distance of the beach, you can also enjoy some of the best rock pools in the country, swimming and surfing, and a diverse selection of wildlife including rare Searle buntings. Outdoors enthusiasts can walk to Wembury Woods and around Wembury Point nearby, and just slightly further afield, the dramatic cliffs around the tranquil Yealm Estuary wait to be explored. Alternatively, spend a day exploring nearby Plymouth (7 miles), home to the ‘Box’, an exciting new museum, art gallery and archive. Visit the historic Barbican including the Elizabethan House and the Mayflower Steps, Plymouth Hoe and the Royal William Yard, a cosmopolitan dining area with views over the River Tamar. Other attractions close by include Saltram House, Cotehele, Buckland Abbey, Mount Edgcumbe, the South Hams, Dartmoor National Park, and the pretty fishing villages of Looe and Polperro.

Step inside this beautiful coastal property and ascend the oak staircase to the first floor where the upside-down layout provides an impressive living space. Carefully designed to make the most of the stunning sea view, this wonderful room boasts a characterful apex ceiling and comfortable seating alongside a Smart TV and patio doors to a spacious glass-fronted balcony with table and chairs. Here you can enjoy dining alfresco during warm weather or just relax in style whilst soaking up the fabulous vistas of the sea and the iconic South Devon coast landmark, the Great Mewstone, an uninhabited island approximately half a mile off Wembury Beach. Back inside, the open-plan living area offers a dining table and chairs and a well-appointed kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and also a dishwasher. Now, venture back down onto the cosy ground floor where you will discover the beautiful bedroom. This includes a king-size bed and benefits from a further set of patio doors that lead to the garden area, allowing you to enjoy a morning coffee whilst soaking up the coastal air. Located close by you will find the fresh and contemporary bathroom which includes a bath, where you can enjoy a soak after a day exploring the coast path, a separate wet room-style shower and a WC. Finally, an additional WC and a utility complete with a washing machine and tumble dryer are located back towards the entrance of the property.

Heading outside, and in addition to the fabulous balcony on the first floor, the enclosed sloping lawned garden offers a lovely spot in which to relax. It features seating plus two sun loungers. There is private off-road parking directly outside the property.

Lovely place, warm and comfortable and very well situated within walking distance of the beach. Great views of the sea too, from the living room and the balcony. We had a wonderful time - and so did the dog!

Lovely upside down modern property with all the facilities you could wish for. Glorious view down the valley & to sea and an ideal location for lovely coastal walks in both directions to Plymouth and Newton Ferrers/Noss Mayo resp...............Andy & Sally were lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble so definitely one to return too.

Beautiful, well equipped property, owners had thought of everything. Lovely views from the balcony. Just a short stroll down to the beach and the coast path. Had some great walks and enjoyed the local area. Cafe on the beach is great for pasties, coffee, cake etc. Owners are really friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Little Eddy for a perfect, relaxing escape. The property was immaculate with everything provided for a comfortable stay and was located in a beautiful, peaceful setting with fabulous seaviews from the lovely balcony. Wembury Beach and its scenic, coastal walks are on the doorstep and the amazing, historic city of Plymouth Read morewas easily reached by car or The Mount Batten Ferry. This was a lovely eco property with everything you would expect in an up market holiday let. It was all new and of a good quality. There was a wonderful view from the first floor open plan kitchen/dinner/lounge, of the sea and nearby island. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Beautifully appointed modern apartment with super balcony looking out to sea. Ten minute walk down to beach (and 20 minutes back.) Private parking. Visiting Plymouth is easy via the Mountbatten ferry. Recommend the Barbican and The Box. Good walks along Coast Path both east and west.

Little Eddy was a perfect place to unwind. Lovely and modern and fantastic views from the lounge. Just down the hill is Wembury Beach with a delightful little Cafe currently opening on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 4 pm. Coastal Walks are a must with stunning views. Andy and Sally were perfect hosts, extremely helpful with places to go and puRead morebs to visit for lunch or dinner. The Mussel Inn at Down Thomas and the Eddystone Inn at Heybrook Bay being our favourites. Top accommodation!! Hide

Had the most amazing week at Little Eddy. Andy and Sally were very welcoming without being over the top. The property is absolutely perfect for a getaway with our dog and perfectly located for some fantastic walks along the beach and great coastal paths.
