Situated off the beaten track and set in a very peaceful location, this delightful retreat boasts spectacular views over the remarkable Devonshire countryside. Within a 3 mile distance of the property is the village of Morchard Bishop, which offers a traditional village shop/café and a popular pub that is renowned for its food. For those looking for an adventure and a chance to pop on the walking boots with your furry friend during their stay, then discover Dartmoor which is renowned for its changing landscape, stunning views, deep wooded valleys with fast flowing rivers, and rugged, wide-open spaces. For a bit more of a night time buzz why not visit the cathedral city of Exeter (17mls) which combines high street shopping with places of interest such as the Roman wall and the ancient cathedral.

Enter the cottage and step immediately into the stunning open hallway area which has a fantastic sense of space with its imposing staircase. The kitchen/diner is a large area complete with a large dining table and chairs and has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and Sonos speaker, the perfect place to sit down after a day in the great outdoors and relax over a meal or two. The utility room is off of the kitchen and offers a washing machine, a door for rear access, and space to store welly boots or wipe the dog down. You also have a separate WC on this floor. Next door is a beautiful lounge with its stunning stone flooring and oozing with character, large Smart TV, comfy seating, and patio doors that open out into the garden. Moving upstairs, there are two beautiful bedrooms, the first is the master bedroom with a super-king-size bed, French doors with a Juliette balcony, and an en-suite bathroom with bath, handheld shower attachment, and WC. The bedroom next door is a lovely twin bedroom which has an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Outside is a stunning enclosed private garden with a patio area and garden furniture, a fabulous spot to sit and relax with a drink after a long day. Surrounded by farmland with deer often spotted in the nearby fields.

Stayed in many cottages over 30 years and this is definitely one of the best we have stayed in. Owners were pleasant, helpful but respectively not intrusive. Exceptionally comfortable and spacious with a high quality finish. Ideal for dogs with contained garden where required. Excellent property with all the facilities you would expected. Dog friendly. The owners went out of their way to make your stay as comfortable one.
