This country cottage combines contemporary and character features, set in the popular village of Parkham - a superb holiday location.

Perfectly positioned for the North Devon coast, the pretty beach at Buck's Mills is 5 miles away. During your stay, you could take a trip to the popular fishing village of Clovelly (7.5 miles), a private hillside village with steep cobbled streets filled with shops and pubs leading down to a picturesque harbour. The delightful village of Hartland (9.5 miles) boasts an array of amenities and Westward Ho! (7 miles) with its sandy beach is a great destination for a family day out. Theme parks including ‘The Big Sheep’ and ‘The Milky Way’, North Devon Wake and Aqua Park provide a great family day out and are all within a 5 mile drive. Other attractions in the area include RHS Garden Rosemoor (12 miles), Hartland Abbey (11 miles)

Step inside this pretty property and you will find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Comfortable sofas are arranged around the chimney breast with a feature fireplace and wood burner. A Smart TV provides entertainment for all, this includes Chrome Cast, Wii and a DVD player. The next area is the dining space, providing a perfect venue for a relaxed breakfast, while the kitchen features an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a washing machine. A breakfast bar and stools allow for less formal dining and are ideal for a morning coffee. Heading upstairs, there are two bedrooms: one king-size and one super-king-size zip and link bed (can be made as a twin on request) which has an en-suite with bath, shower and WC. The family bathroom with a shower and WC completes the accommodation. Both bedrooms benefit from plenty of fitted wardrobes.

Venturing back outside, there is an enclosed south-west facing patio area with a bistro set, gas BBQ and outside tap ideal for washing off sandy toes. Private off-road parking for two cars is provided and further roadside parking is available nearby. The property also has an EV charging point.

A very lovely cottage with everything you need for a home-from-home. The roads into the village were very small unless you went through Bideford so we would recommend that route. The food at the pub in the village was delicious but you need to book as it gets very busy.

A lovely, comfortable cottage, close to Beaches, Places of Interest etc. Well equipped to prepare meals. Nice to have a "Go To" property, when visiting family in the area.

Lovely cottage very well equipped, narrow lanes a problem surrounding the area we found if you turn left at the Bell inn only a short track of narrow lane until you reach a main road.

Excellent sized cottage, well equipped with modern appliances including an air fryer and dishwasher. We loved the modern decor mixed with stylish accessories in keeping with a cottage. Cleanliness highly rated and welcome pack included the dog which was a pleasant surprise. Location good although there were narrow lanes to exit the village. Very well equipped cottage and had everything and more that we needed and MORE! Quality bedding and towels, lovely touches throughout the whole place and everything you need. We personally loved the location and it a 10 min drive to the beach - Instow was gorgeous with nice places for food and drinks. The cottage was without fault save its location so far away from the usual holiday amenities but nevertheless we had a most enjoyable holiday.

A beautifully presented cottage with many thoughtful aspects to make our stay comfortable and relaxed. Located in a quiet village with access to coastal attractions by car. We enjoyed the challenge of finding the quickest route through the country lanes to the coast.

A lovely, well,equipped cottage and we very much enjoyed our short break here. The village is quite remote and quiet and perfect if this is what you're looking for.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack was the best we have had. The dog towel and treats were a real surprise. Comfy beds and good communication from the owner. One of the best equipped places we have used. Good location to use as a base for exploring the surrounding area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a comfortable, well appointed cottage, in a peaceful location. It's handy for some wonderful beaches and walks - see the visitor's guide. PS we didn't spot Percy (the village peacock) but we heard him a few times.

This cottage is beautiful! It has everything you would need to have a comfortable stay, very well equipped and so cosy. So much thought has gone into making our stay here enjoyable, I would recommend choosing this cottage.

A wonderful week away in our home from home that is central to lots of places to visit in North Devon. Ivy Cottage is clean and comfortable with lots of well thought out equipment for guests to use in the kitchen and as ways of entertainment. Highly recommended!

Very quiet location along a private lane, everything is there that you'll need whether it's raining and "housebound" or somewhere to come back to after being out all day. An absolute gem of a cottage. The photos don't actually do it justice, it's even nicer in the flesh! Everything you will ever need. The beds are so comfy! Nice, secure sunny little courtyard garden out the front, great for the dog. Lovely little pub just up the road, great base for exploring Devon and North Cornwall. My 11 year old daughter is the Read moremost harshest critic of absolutely everything and she wanted to sfay here forever. That, my friends, is praise indeed! Hide
