Nestled in a peaceful location surrounded by nine acres of grounds, this property offers space and tranquillity. Five miles from South Molton, a wonderful local little town full of character boasting a twice weekly market and sheep market along with a range of local shops and medium sized Sainsburys Supermarket. The cottage is ideally located for exploring some of Devon’s most popular attractions. Take a tour of Bickleigh Castle, stroll along the towpath beside the Grand Western Canal, enjoy a fun day out at Crealy Adventure Park, discover the wonderful world of bees at Quince Honey Farm and explore the delights of Hartland and Clovelly. The nearby Tarka Trail boasts miles of traffic-free cycling, while Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks offer breath-taking natural scenery and a host of stunning walks. The stunning beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe are within 30 minutes drive where you can get access to a wide range of activites including surfing, body boarding, paddle boarding and kite surfing.

Beautiful cottage/barn, hosts where lovely including all the resident animals, the Exeter Inn in the village is worth a visit, great food and atmosphere, also the community store, good range of groceries so worth supporting, we stayed here as we had a wedding at the Tree Top Escapes which itself was amazing, our only negative is the roads in North Read moreDevon can be really narrow and buy a map book, your Sat Nav will get you lost! We hired the cottage as it was situated very close to relatives we were visiting and it was a delightful base to explore Devon. It was spacious, well equipped and sited in most picturesque countryside. Ali and Nick were welcoming and friendly as were the animals who kept our granddaughters amused throughout our stay. Lousy weather but the cottage wRead moreas so comfortable it didn't matter. I can thoroughly recommend a stay at Higher Beer. Truly lovely! Hide

We had a wonderful week with family at Lakeside. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was very clean & spacious. The scones, cream, jam & bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch! We loved seeing Bailey the dog & chickens. Added bonus was the games barn! We enjoyed trips to Quince Honey Farm, Bideford & Read moreAllington Court National Trust. Westward Ho! was our fave beach as it had everything for us & especially 6 yr old granddaughter. A wonderful place to stay. Very spacious, very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of places to visit nearby and farther afield. The owners are very helpful and friendly but not intrusive. It was delightful meeting Bailey the very friendly dog and the 2 cats.

A superb stay, in a wonderful location. Hosts available to answer all questions and very friendly. A great property for relaxing and also using as a base for days out. Fully equipped and kept to a great standard. We would highly recommend to all.
