Set within the grounds of the owner’s home yet where privacy is assured, this superb barn offers immaculate accommodation providing you with a memorable holiday home – one you will relish returning to after a day of exploring. The little white town of Bideford is situated 3 miles away with a selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Keen walkers can enjoy the traffic-free Tarka Trail or the South West Coast Path. The villages of Instow and Appledore are both 6 miles away and the vast sands at Westward Ho! are just under 6 miles. Other popular attractions include Tapeley Park, the Milky Way and Big Sheep theme parks, Clovelly and RHS Rosemoor Gardens to name but a few.

On entering this beautifully appointed retreat via the enclosed front garden, you’ll find yourself in the impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with high ceilings, exposed beams, underfloor heating, magnificent country views, and a unique and colourful mural showcasing the local area. Stylish furnishings make it feel like a home from home. The lounge/diner, a truly lovely space to unwind after a long day, is warm and welcoming with a contemporary wood burner, comfortable sofa, a chair and a chaise lounge. A wooden toy box houses puzzles and games for all the family, and there is also a Smart TV. The dining area offers space for all to eat together and the well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to rustle up everything from a quick snack, to a light lunch or formal dinner. Heading on down the staircase to the sleeping accommodation, you will find two bedrooms: one king-size with a Smart TV and an en-suite shower room with WC, and a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into 2’ 6" twin beds on request), again with a Smart TV. Across the hall is the light and airy bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. Following on is a separate utility room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer and additional storage. From here, you can access the rear courtyard garden.

Outside, there are three separate enclosed areas for you to enjoy, one with a BBQ. The first is the front garden which has a lawn area and seating. At the rear, accessed either through the property or via side external steps, is a rear courtyard garden with a swinging seat and a bench. Lastly, through a secret gate, is the third area accessed via an orangery, an ideal spot to sit and relax with a drink in the evenings or a morning coffee. You’ll find pots of seasonal fruits and herbs plus a walk-in fruit cage with blueberries and other seasonal fruits, plus a large lawn area – ideal for ball games etc.

Beautiful converted barn, very modern and clean, lots of extras in the kitchen and bathrooms, everything you could want. The 3 gardens are wonderful with lovely views from the glass sun house, perfect for our spaniel, safe and enclosed, and very peaceful. The owners were very pleasant and left us to enjoy our week. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely relaxing stay over new year. The cottage is clean, spacious, and very warm. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans and was perfect for cooking meals. both bedrooms were comfortable, everyone got a good nights sleep! The outside garden space is well maintained, as well as being a secure place for our dog to run around in.

A beautiful cottage, we immediately felt at home and very comfortable. Very well equipped and in a lovely setting. Antony and Lee Yan were very welcoming and left us to our own devices. We used The Granary for our 6 night holiday along with 2 kids and a dog. The first impression was "wow"! The property was kept ready and entering a bright room with kitchen.. Having large windows giving views of rolling hills was so relaxing after 4hrs drive. All the fittings.. Whether in kitchen or bathroom are of highest of quality. The Granary is beautifully fitted out with lots of little extras provided that make the holiday just easier. The views from the house are stunning and our two dogs loved playing in the secure and private gardens, while we spent time relaxing. We will definitely be staying again.

Fantastic location, with so many beautiful beaches to choose from. The property was of a very high quality with everything we needed right there. The Granary is truly a delightful place to stay. We did not want for anything , we found the cottage to be stylish, very clean and obviously a labour of love for the owners. We took our two dogs with us ~ they had biscuits, towels and a ball left for them (lovely touch). The location is perfect for exploring the South West Coastal path and the TarkRead morea Trail - the cottage has an abundance of guide books to help you decide where to go - as well as artwork on the walls . My daughter (aged 14) and I spent 3 wonderful nights at The Granary with our 2 dogs. We were taken aback on entering the barn on the amazing views of green fields. I certainly wouldnt hesitate to recommend The Granary. Its renovation has been done symphatically but to a very high specification. The hosts had made a lot of effort to decorate the property for our Christmas holiday but aside from the decorations everything from the towels, bedding, soaps and shampoos were real quality. The Granary offers a peaceful, comfortable and relaxing holiday. Whilst we needed to use the car each day we were in easy reach of lots of beaches and places of interest. The owners gave us space, but were there f we needed them, and very considerate. We highly recommend The Granary.

A beautifully renovated property, set In a quiet rural location with stunning views. Lots of birds of prey - dont forget your binoculars! Beautiful long sandy beaches 15 minutes drive away. Ideally set just outside of Bideford, with great views of the surrounding countryside. Close to lots of really nice beaches, and shops in the town centre. The cottage is outstanding with wifi and all the cooking and washing facilities one could wish for.
