A spacious cottage on one of Appledore’s most prestigious streets with sea and estuary views and coastal path walks literally on your doorstep, it's an ideal holiday home by the sea. This end-of-terrace cottage is right in the centre of Appledore and a level walk to its many pubs, restaurants, galleries and cafes. Direct access just outside to the South West Coast Path, Clovelly, Bude, Ilfracombe and Westward Ho! beaches are all nearby. The shoreline, with its rock pools and sandy stretches, are just a stroll away from the cottage and The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, North Devon Wake Park for water sports and RHS Rosemoor are all within easy reach.

The cottage is spread over three floors and offers three bedrooms for seven people. As you go up the stairs natural light floods in via the large arch window, which offers a superb vista across the estuary and out to sea. Once on the first floor, you will find two bedrooms, one king-size with superb estuary and sea views and an en-suite shower and WC. A family bathroom can be found on the first floor, with a separate shower, jacuzzi bath and WC. Via a door is a further staircase rising to the second floor and the third bedroom which has a double and single bed, and further estuary views. Heading back downstairs through the kitchen is a separate WC. The kitchen itself is well equipped with everything you need to cater for your stay. The open plan lounge/diner offers a cosy wood burner, with the first basket of logs included, comfortable sofas, with views out across to the street and estuary beyond, and a Smart TV with a DVD player. There is a large dining table with ample room for everyone to be able to eat together or play board/card games.

Outside the kitchen, there is a small south-facing courtyard with space to park one small car. An outside tap and hose allows guests to wash off sandy muddy paws/boots prior to entering the property.

Opposite the house is a public green area and seating, an ideal spot to enjoy superb sunsets.

This was the third year in a row we have been to Appledore. The house was the nicest one we have stayed in. Facilities and location were perfect.

The cottage is spacious and in a fabulous position in Appledore. The small green in front of the cottage has panoramic views of the estuary and the sunsets can be spectacular! There is parking at the rear (which is a bonus in Appledore) but its quite tight, not for the faint hearted and wont fit a larger car.

We had an absolute perfect time in the sea spray and in Appledore! We were even allowed to stay outside the usual set of days, because they did not match our holiday plans. How very kind! I would absolutely recommend this place as a family stay in North Devon! We all felt home very quickly!

Lovely place to stay, clean and very spacious. Beautiful views over the estuary, great places to eat especialy Flames and the Yard. Recommend going over to Instow by the Ferry that us run by volunteers, there is a lovely dog friendly beach there. Clovelly is worth a visit too. I would most definitely recommend this house as a great base for a holidRead moreay in north Devon. Hide
