Just minutes from the beach, this spacious farmhouse is a real delight. With its own enclosed garden, adjacent to a working dairy farm, it is ideal for families or groups of friends and set close to the North Devon and Cornwall coastlines, and just over 1 mile from the village of Hartland. Set in a rural location with access to footpaths leading to beautiful coastal and clifftop walks. The nearest shops and pubs can be found in the Georgian village of Hartland which is 1.6 miles away and is also home to Hartland Abbey, which was originally built as a monastery in the 12th century. There is something for every age range: surfing and sandcastle building at the large sandy beach at Westward Ho! (16 miles) or hire a boat on the Bude Canal (13 miles). Children will love the Milky Way Adventure Park and North Devon Wake/Aqua Park (7 miles) and The Big Sheep adventure park (14 miles), or those looking for some myths and legends why not visit King Arthur’s Tintagel in Cornwall (29 miles).

Stepping into the property through the French doors you are greeted by a spacious boot room area, ideal for kicking off those walking boots or wellies, this leads to a well-equipped kitchen breakfast room with an island unit, breakfast bar, and stools. A stable door leads to a more formal dining room with wooden parquet flooring and patio doors leading out to the rear enclosed garden. Moving on, the first of three lounge areas has a corner sofa and stone fireplace with wood burner, Smart TV with Sky TV Basic Package. The second lounge area is more suited for children with Smart TV, games consoles, board games, and puzzles. The third lounge is cosy with a warming wood burner and two large sofas. Heading up the stairs to the sleeping accommodation you will find four bedrooms, the first has two sets of bespoke and sturdy bunk beds ideal for the children, and there is a king, double and twin room. There are 3 bathrooms, one has jack and Jill access from the twin room and landing, the second has a lovely roll-top slipper bath to relax in after a busy day, and the final has a stylish shower room, sink and WC.

Heading outside there is an enclosed rear garden with a patio area, charcoal BBQ, garden furniture, and a lawn area. Just over the wall, you can often see the herd of cows waiting to be milked, little ones will love it. The shed is also available to guests and beach equipment for you to use and return. An outside tap and hose make it ideal for washing off sandy paws or muddy boots and an outside hot shower is a dream for surfers to wash off boards and rinse through wetsuits.

Lovely comfortable cottage, decorated nicely for Christmas which was great to see on arrival. Do not follow the sat nav, as it takes you on awful tracks, follow their directions. We had a great Christmas week here with the family, plenty of room, and the teenagers even enjoyed the retro Nintendo!

Its a great house. Really spacious and we really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the toys and games. The owners responded quickly to a couple of issues. The flies are a bit annoying and the smell from the farm was really strong and quite overpowering, just means everything needs to stay closed (windows etc) but we may have just had an unlRead moreucky week in that respect. The cows are literally right outside the window which is also really fun to watch! Hide

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, next to a cattle farm. Very well equipped kitchen. Lovely bed linen and fluffy towels. Good enclosed garden for children and dogs. Location is good. You need to travel on small country lanes for about 1.5 miles to get to the cottage. Parking for 3 cars. Really enjoyed our stay.

We know that it is on a farm but it would benefit from having fly screens

Beautiful cottage, lovely relaxing break. Plenty of nice beaches to visit. If a relaxing break is called for, this would be a great choice. We will definitely return sometime.
