The stylish accommodation is made from old shipping containers and is superbly designed to offer comfort and warmth with stunning views. Here you can finish the day relaxing in the wood-fired sauna and soak in the hot tub before you prepare your meal on the BBQ, wrap yourself in blankets and in the quiet of the night, enjoy a bit of stargazing round the fire pit – it’s the perfect way to end your day. This is perfect for those looking to get back to nature, without the distractions of modern technology. Less than 7 miles away is the pretty seaside town of Combe Martin which is a favourite place for kayakers and paddleboarders, or you could enjoy a spot of rock pooling on the sheltered beach. Walkers are spoilt for choice with Wistlandpound Reservoir, 1 mile, or take a trip onto Exmoor, 3 miles, with woodland walks and magical moorlands amongst the Exmoor ponies. Visit Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, 4 miles away, or Watermouth Castle, 10 miles away.
As you approach this unique, bespoke cabin, take in the peaceful and tranquil location. Walk over your own little bridge and into the beautiful open-plan holiday let. The cabin is brimming with rustic charm and offers a stylish sofa and comfy chairs in front of the wood burner that also has a separate section which is the only oven, with a hot plate for pots and pans. The stylish kitchen area has a twin gas burner to make your hot drinks and a small fridge, with a larger fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer at the communal shower block. The semi-precious stone worktop makes this quite unique and the dining table sits in front of the double glass cabin patio doors, which open out onto decking with furniture and a hot tub. The two bedrooms both have a king-size bed and there’s a single day bed, for alternative sleeping. The walk-in shower and WC is off the main living space, just outside. The shower room is currently without heating, however, you are welcome to use the heated communal shower block, with four shower rooms each with a WC, with three extra toilets, a few minutes’ walk from the cabin. Please note, the property is off grid and so has little mobile signal and no Wi-Fi and the electricity runs off solar power.
Release those stresses in the wood-fired sauna or relax in the hot tub with the gentle sounds of the countryside and babbling brook. Enjoy dining alfresco with the charcoal BBQ and fire pit and watch the sunsets from your private decked area. This is a working farm and the owners are very happy to talk to you about the animals and show you round, you may be able to help with feeding if you wish. If you are staying at the right time, you might be lucky enough to watch one of the sheep giving birth.
