This beautiful retreat is set in a peaceful spot in the heart of the North Devon countryside where you can enjoy the tranquillity of country life. Keen walkers and cyclists are well placed to join the Tarka Trail, a long-distance path (former railway line) which offers wonderful scenery as well as welcome food stops and watering holes along the way. Beach lovers will have a great time on the 2-mile golden sands of Westward Ho! (12 miles), while the stunning scenery of both Dartmoor and Exmoor are within 30 miles. Just down the road in Torrington, attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens (2.5), the excellent Plough Arts Centre for interesting movies or watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal, both under 3 miles away. For those who fancy venturing a little further, Clovelly (17 miles) is a privately owned cliffside village with steep cobbled streets leading down to the harbour and sea. For water sports and fishing, Tamar Lakes (18 miles) is worth a visit.
The front door leads you directly into the welcoming, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is full of character with rustic beams and pretty farmhouse-style furniture. The lounge offers a lovely area in which to relax with comfy seating, wonderful fireplace to gather around and a Smart TV for your favourite shows. Take a seat at the dining table and enjoy a home-cooked meal prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, which has an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. Up the stairs are the two bedrooms, a pretty double room and a twin room. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
Outside, unwind on your very own private, enclosed patio area. There is also a large communal garden space which has a rustic children’s play area and BBQ. A fenced pond is also part of the grounds, and which is full of wildlife (children and pets must be supervised). A shared utility room with the use of a washing machine, tumble drier play and leisure equipment is provided for you whilst at the property.
