Further afield, the historic port town of Bideford is just five miles away from the property, with its independent shops and narrow streets. From here, visitors may wish to enjoy a boat trip to the National Trust owned island of Lundy, with its puffins and herd of Sika deer. This converted grain store offers visitors a wonderful rural getaway and the cottage itself acts as a retreat from everyday life.

Accessing the property up the four external steps, guests will come straight to the ground-floor lounge area, which offers traditional stone floors, comfortable seating, a TV, DVD, and a wood burner effect electric fire. Down two stairs and tucked away behind an exposed brick wall is the kitchen/diner, with its dining table for two and its kitchen area, where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. Open-tread stairs lead from the lounge to the upstairs accommodation, where there is an attractive double bedroom and an en-suite shower room with WC.

This was a very welcoming and very comfortable cottage. Ideally located for our plans. Given the amount of rain weve had, it was very easy to keep clean with items available for the dog. Everything needed for a stay was there. Have already recommended to friends via social media

If you are looking for a remote getaway, I would strongly recommend this farm . The owners are friendly, The Hatters Cottage is quaint, and very clean, with all the appliances in good working order. Its ideal for a couple.

What can we say? The property and surrounding area is just beautiful. So peaceful and a lovely big garden to relax in or have your lunch at the picnic table. We were lucky to have the hot weather but the cottage remained cool, even if a night. We didnt want to go home

Booked Hatter's House at Grace Hill Farm as a last minute getaway for the Easter week. It's a 'tiny' cottage but had plenty of space for two of us. We'd seen reviews raising concerns about getting to the cottage via single track roads and although this was the case, it really wasn't a problem and actually was part of the charm! Note: install What TRead morehree Words on your phone! It's an ideal base to explore Exmoor and the North Devon coast. The owners are lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. Hide

If you're looking for peace and quiet, then this is the place to go. Hatter's House was as warm as the welcome I received from the owners, clean and tidy with everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. There are walks from the cottage and a lovely garden which is perfect for star gazing. Despite visiting in January I was never cold and the beRead mored and huge snuggly duvet meant I slept very well all week. Hide

The accommodation was clean and tidy and the owners left us a generous welcome pack of groceries. Its situation however was not only remote but very difficult to find and return to. Sat nav was no help at all but after studying a map we were able to identify a route that, although quite complicated, we could rely on to find our way out and back. The owners were very friendly and hospitable and we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack of scones, clotted cream & jam plus fresh eggs, milk and a loaf of bread.
