Thoughtfully furnished and equipped, this stylish property has it all. Boasting its own enclosed rear courtyard with access directly out onto a large field (ideal for exercising your four-legged friend), it also has superb countryside views over Codden Hill on which you can walk or cycle. Situated on the outskirts of Barnstaple (5 miles) where you can discover shops, pubs, and restaurants, the cottage is also close to the coastal town of Instow ( 8 miles) which offers a dog-friendly estuary beach and a passenger ferry across to Appledore in the summer. A day at RHS Rosemoor with over 65 acres of woodland and gardens is only 14 miles away. Keen walkers will love the South West Coast Path or, a 9-mile drive takes you to Exmoor National Park with magical moorlands and woodlands to explore.

Cross the man-made stream via a small bridge and enter the property’s open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is well equipped and designed to provide plenty of light and air. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and chairs, and a Smart TV so you can cosy up and watch a favourite movie with friends and family on cooler evenings. The kitchen is a great space to entertain and try out new recipes with the well-equipped space all the mod cons you’ll need to whip up fabulous feasts for four. There are two bedrooms, one of which is a king-size and the other a zip- and-link twin 2’6” (which can be made into a king on request at the time of booking). The family bathroom has a shower over a bath, and a WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed rear courtyard with seating and a gate leading directly out onto the shared exercise field with views across to Codden Hill. The property has the benefit of shared gardens and a fishpond (children and pets must be supervised). The shared gazebo has tables, chairs and lighting. There is an outside dog washing facility with a hot water shower and a large low-level Belfast sink, perfect for washing off muddy paws and boots.

Greeted by the owners on arrival. Instructions were very clear. Excellent accommodation in a very quiet area, ideal for visiting local attractions. Close to the Tarkington Trail.

Absolutely stunning - location, accommodation and the hosts! It was so lovely knowing we could open the door and not worry about where Lucy was wandering off to! Extremely dog friendly. The accommodation was stunning and felt like our home away from home. A real huge thank you for such a perfect break in a little piece of heaven!
