This gorgeous cottage is one of five created from a Grade II Listed stone barn. Perfectly situated with an array of village amenities within walking distance and provides a perfect escape to Dartmoor.

Located just 1 mile’s walk from Chagford set out in a reverse-level style, this property promises an unforgettable holiday for families and couples. Spacious and comfortable, this cottage is the ideal opportunity to escape busy daily life and relax in stunning surroundings. Wake up among soft pastel colours in the bedrooms, head up to the lounge and throw open the windows to welcome in countryside air.

Whether you’re sizzling up a BBQ in the garden or chilling in the open-plan living area with a good book, you’ll find your own way to unwind here. The interiors feel fresh, clean and contemporary and there are lots of charming splashes of colour dotted throughout. The living area is flooded with light during the day thanks to huge vaulted ceilings and large windows, but light the wood burner and draw the blinds in the evening and you’ll feel as cosy as can be.

Visit the last castle to be built in England, Castle Drogo (4 miles), and wander around the many footpaths and gardens there. Meet animals during feeding sessions at Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park (7 miles) or say hello to miniature ponies and tiny donkeys at the Miniature Pony Centre (3.5 miles). Of course, you’ve got the whole of Dartmoor National Park on your doorstep; try the circular Whiddon Deer Park Bluebell walk that starts from the Iron Bridge at the bottom of Castle Drogo for superb views of Teign Gorge and, of course, bluebells!

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a fantastic holiday at Granary Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's rooms are located in ground floor and kitchen / living is located in the first floor. This was unique and our interaction with each other were constant, i.e. no one is cooking alone and / or watching TV, we were all together. The owner wRead moreas very helpful and was available at all times if we needed any assistance. Cottage has beautiful surroundings for relaxing walks / cycling. Hide

This is a beautiful cottage with everything you need. However if youre a nervous driver it might not be the place for you. Very narrow Devon roads in every direction around. But if you like walking it is a perfect location for some lovely walks.

If you are looking for a hidden gem in Dartmoor, this is it! A short walk from the village of Chagford and set in the gorgeous national park. There are 2 lovely large bedrooms, both ensuite and also a 3rd separate toilet. The upside down layout works a treat as is always cooler downstairs so perfect for sleeping in the hot months of summer. The opeRead moren plan living space upstairs is huge and perfect for all (we were a young family of 4). Highly recommend staying here! Hide
