This delightful studio apartment in a stunning barn conversion makes a great base for those who are keen to explore the dramatic landscape of Dartmoor National Park and beyond. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, it’s easy to sit back, enjoy the tranquillity and forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With plenty of scenic walks from your doorstep, you’ll never get bored, but there is still a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants in historic, market town, Tavistock, which is only 4 miles away.

One of two apartments in this conversion, this property is situated on the ground floor. Inside, neutral colours and warm tones have been used throughout to make the whole place seem light, airy and spacious, whilst contemporary furniture allows the most to be made of the space available. At one end of the apartment is the bedroom area which flows directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a small step separating the two. There is one shower room with a heated towel rail. Outside, there is a private patio area with seating to allow guests to soak up the fresh, country air. There is also a large, shared garden with BBQ.

Dartmoor is perfect for those who enjoy exploring by foot with places like Lydford Gorge (9 miles) providing particularly stunning walks. There are also opportunities for those who enjoy cycling, with the Devon Cycle Network passing within one mile of the property. For something more historical, the National Trust’s Castle Drogo, a 1920s Art Deco castle, is worth the drive (27 miles) with attractive gardens and grounds to wander around. There are lots of other picturesque towns and villages to explore within the National Park.

The Garden apartment was lovely. Very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Everything you could possibly want was there and the location for us was perfect and very quiet. The owners were lovely and very helpful.

This was a very stylish apartment and equipped and decorated to a very high standard. It had items not normally found, such as a coffee maker and BBQ. Obviously great attention to detail had gone into its planning, to ensure the comfort of visitors. There was coffee, tea and milk available on arrival and all linen was provided. Beautiful property and ideal for adults. The white decor make It impractical for dogs and possibly kids. The bed was amazingly comfy as was sofa. Shower also amazing. The venue is so nicely designed Loved it

Comfortable quiet apartment. Pub was a mile away, served very good food. Tavistock about 5 miles away. Nice market. Pleasant walk aound the Wharf. Drakes trail not too far away, so lots of nice walks nearby.
