My two lads and I stayed here over Christmas. My wife died in the Summer and this was our first Christmas without her. I wanted somewhere special and the cottage didn't disapoint. Lovely and cozy with the log burner in the corner. Small but well equipped kitchen meant we could self cater (Inc Christmas lunch) with ease. Great pub with good food jusRead moret down the road. Easy walk to the coast path. Games and dvds in the evening and beautiful walks in the days. A really perfect Christmas. Thank you! Hide

Cottage was lovely. Disappointed that the garden was separate from the cottage, through two gates and outside the neighbours. Good that the garden was dog secure. Really good walks to the coast. Would come again.

Sadly underwhelmed. Rock cottage is on a blind bend in a village on the only narrow road to a large Park Dean site, hence the constant sound of reversing vehicles attempting to pass each other directly outside the living room window. The double mattress needs replacing as noted by a previous visitor in 2017 or 2018. The pans and cutlery need a goodRead more clean/sort out, discarding the excess of old items. Parking was on the rock - my car has the scratch to prove it. We were sadly disappointed. Hide

South Hams is a great location if you like walking. There are many good paths to the coast , the coast path gives great views and there are pleasant beaches which are not too busy.

A lovely thatched cottage in a quaint little village. We enjoyed our stay a lot! Big plus points for being only a 15 minute walk to the coast path with amazing cliff top views to Burgh Island and the beautiful Ayrmer Cove. Journey's End pub is only 5 min walk away and does great food but you should book in advance. Located in a lovely small village with fantastic pub. If you want to slow down and get away from it all this is wonderful, if you also like Tudor cottages and its good to have some history and soul in a place, this has lots of that. Lovely old cottage, small rooms upstairs so not great for multiple people. Garden is separate from the house so not ideal for dogs. Location is nice but tricky single track roads so I can imagine would be a challenge in busier months. Well equipped, could do with new sofa cushions as they were pretty hard on your bottom.
