Four staircases up to ten bedrooms and some rooms have interconnecting doors, all can be bolted. Outside is a lawn, wild garden/orchard, terrace with BBQ, croquet lawn, games room and wisteria-covered pergola walk.

Set amongst the Blackdown Hills, the spectacular scenery is the final touch to an already superb property. A pub less than a mile away provides the perfect space for all your guests to head for an ambient evening dining and drinking out. It’s just under 2 miles to the A303 allowing easy access for anyone wishing to venture further into Devon, 12 miles away you’ll uncover the ruins of old Hemyock Castle and 14 miles from the property is the National Trust-owned attraction of Barrington Court.

We all loved this amazing historic property which is full of original features. There was masses of space and it was very well equipped. The gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed all the games and leisure activities.

An amazing place - rich in history and a spectacular house, but homely and comfortable. Don't expect a 5 star hotel (not our thing anyway) - it's more like staying at a relative's country pile (if you were lucky enough to have such a relative!). Extremely well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, beautiful countryside for walks, and a huge house to Read morerelax and have fun in. Hide

Sheafhayne Manor was ideal for a large group with dogs with plenty of room in the house and a large secure garden. Most rooms had en-suite facilities or a dedicated bathroom, the games facilities were great for a mixed age group and the whole property was very comfortable.

Fantastic weekend at Sheafhayne Manor celebrating my wife's 60th birthday with family and friends. Could not have chosen a better location to have fun and relax; a lovely spacious character property situated in beautiful grounds and thank you to Caroline for cooking us a wonderful Sunday lunch (highly recommended).

The manor was a dream come true. The property was beautiful inside and out and had everything you needed to have the best holiday ever. We have taken a group of friends to Sheafhayne for many years and have never been disappointed. It is comfortable without being luxurious in today's terms and ideal for large groups or families.

The house is huge, but still seems homely and welcoming; we felt at ease using the house as home for our extended family celebrations and the garden and grounds are fabulous! Everyone now wants a Butlers Pantry - which made a great storeroom for provisions. We loved staying here!
