It’s just under 2 miles to the A303 allowing easy access for anyone wishing to venture further into Devon, 12 miles away you’ll uncover the ruins of old Hemyock Castle and 14 miles from the property is the National Trust-owned attraction of Barrington Court.

Sheafhayne Manor is absolutely beautiful and is set in a stunning location. It feels welcoming and homely and is very well equipped. There's so much to do there (croquet, badminton, pool, snooker, table tennis, walking in the beautiful grounds etc etc) you won't want to leave. You will not be disappointed!

Property and grounds excellent. Facilities and rooms have everything you need/want - including lots of hot water! Getting used to cooking with 'Aga' was an experience - very glad of other cooker. Walks from house mostly on quiet lanes before finding good cross country footpaths about 30minutes away. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my 70th birthday with family aged from 8 months to 70 years. The house is very interesting and the gardens and grounds beautiful. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped and fresh flowers in the rooms were a lovely addition. Meryl and Paulo catered for us on Saturday evening and were excellent. The manor is a gorgeous and very spacious building with beautiful well kept grounds and fantastic vista. There are lots of good quality glasses, pots and pans and crockery and cutlery. It would have been a perfect holiday had we not found the owner's attitude to issues unsatisfactory. We will not return to the property. There is not enough space alRead morelowed to detail them all but the worse was when we advised that the heating was not working she said "Do you not have a jumper"! The TV was not fixed. Hide

everything was perfect for our whole family, from the youngest 3 years old to the eldest 84 years old. It truely had all that we wanted and we had a fabulous weekend for my 80th birthday. Nancy Rowe catered for a special meal and it was wonderful for everyone included the children. We hope to come back next year.

Great house and location. Slightly faded grandeur but this appeals to us. Really good room layouts and lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. We used caterers on Saturday night, Nancy Rowe, and can thoroughly recommend her. Lovely meal, dealing with diet restrictions, vegans and everything inbetween. Sheafhayne Manor was beautiful! We had the most amazing holiday. All guests aged 1 to 70 had the best time. The grounds were stunning, huge (surprisingly warm) and beautifully decorated rooms, very well equipped kitchen with cooker and aga, the Manor had everything!! Highly recommended.

The house is marvellous all the equipment you could possibly need, great activities so even if it rained there was plenty to do. Beautiful countryside surrounding the property. A delight for all ages (we were 6-75 age range).

Everything you could possibly want for entertaining a large family reunion. The grounds offer excellent photo settings and plenty of scope for childrens activities. The large bedrooms give a quite space to retreat from the family chaos if needed, and the the downstairs rooms are large enough for everyone to congregate.
