Stimulate your imagination and stay at this amazing subterranean dwelling in the beautiful Devon countryside, with character in abundance, plus your very own hot tub.

Live out a fantasy adventure at this awesome themed property in the pretty North Devon village of Abbotsham. It’s the perfect rural retreat for families with older children to unwind and explore, with walks from your doorstep and the breathtaking Atlantic coastline close by. Each room has been styled to mimic themes from The Hobbit film series. Full of surprises and attention to detail, the house is truly out of this world!

Set over one level, the property has a unique design, with rounded walls, exposed brickwork and quirky touches throughout. As soon as you set foot through the circular door, you’ll be bowled over by the open-plan living space. Make plans around the dining table or play card games before strolling to the thatched village pub for dinner. On a chilly evening, hole yourself up in front of the wood burner to watch a movie on the Smart TV – surely one of The Hobbit films! On a warm summer’s evening, head outdoors for a glass of fizz in the hot tub while enjoying the sweeping views across the countryside. Both bedrooms have TVs and en-suite facilities, giving you privacy when you need it.

For a walk with a view, wander 2 miles along the South West Coast Path towards Westward Ho! The beach here offers fantastic family days out, with safe swimming and water sports such as surfing and kite surfing available. If you want to crank up the fun, head to the Milky Way Adventure Park (8 miles), with its adrenaline-filled rides, and The Big Sheep (1 mile) where live sheep racing in summer will have you roaring with laughter.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
