For days out, Woolacombe Bay, one of Devon's most popular beach resorts, is just 2 miles away and the rest of North Devon’s attractions and landmarks are within an easy drive.
Inside this delightful cottage, you can relax in an open-plan lounge/diner, perhaps enjoying breakfast at the dining table while you plan your day, or sprawling across the comfortable lounge seating while you watch TV or a DVD. Read your holiday novel while you have some chill-out music playing on the hi-fi, and in the evening, enjoy a drink or a snack on the shared lawn area at the front or rear of the cottage. At the end of a busy day, there are two welcoming, restful bedrooms; a king-size and a twin room.
Venture out to the Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe (7 miles), where attractions include Tunnels Beach, a network of tunnels hand-carved in the 1820s, offering rock pools and a stunning backdrop for keen photographers. It is also home to an abundance of wildlife, including peregrine falcons, seals and even porpoises. The long stretch of golden sands at Woolacombe (2 miles), is perfect for family-friendly days on the beach, while Croyde (5 miles) and Saunton Sands (7 miles) are also within easy reach. Other family attractions in the local area include the Combe Martin Wildlife Park (12 miles), Exmoor Zoo (16 miles), and Watermouth Castle (9 miles).
